About O. P. Jindal Global University

 

O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University) is a non-profit global university established in 2009 by the Government of Haryana and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has received the highest grade ‘A’ of the National Accreditation & Assessment Council (NAAC). In 2019, JGU was awarded the prestigious ‘Institution of Eminence’ status by the Government of India.

Admission Criteria: Admission to 5-year B.A/BBA LL.B (Hons.)  is done ONLY on the basis of merit in the LSAT—India 2021 Exam. 

LSAT—India 2021 exam is also accepted for admission to the 3-year BA- Legal Studies, LLB 3-year, and LLM 1-year programs. Those who have already registered for the LSAT–India 2021 exam may not need to write JSAT-Law Exam.

Admission to 3-year B.A. (Hons.) Legal Studies, 3-year LL.B., and 1-year LL.M. programs is also done on the basis of merit in the JSAT-Law 2021 Entrance Exam.

Admission Criteria: Applicants are selected through a holistic admissions process conducted over three rounds based on a personal statement, supplemental application, X and XII Grade Marks, Faculty Interview, and JSAT Score of 55% or equivalent (SAT, ACT, LSAT-India). Applicants for B.A. (Hons.) Economics will also need to get at least a 65% unweighted score on the Quantitative Skills section to qualify.

Students completing grade 12 in 2020 can also apply.

Eligibility Criteria

 

For all the courses except for law and design, the eligibility criteria is -

 

  • 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks (CBSE, ISC, IB, State Boards, Cambridge, and Other Government Recognized Boards)

 

About JSAT

 

The Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test (JSAT) is a Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) test. It has 120 questions and needs to be completed in 120 minutes. It is divided into three sections:

  • English Verbal Ability (40 Questions)
  • Logical Reasoning (40 Questions) 
  • Quantitative Skills (40 Questions)
