JIPMAT 2021: Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results & More

JIPMAT is a 2-hour 30-minute test comprising 100 questions that are multiple-choice based. Each question has 4 options and only one option amongst 4 is correct. The IPMAT exam is divided into 3 sections, namely Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. Each question carries 4 marks, and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking for not attempting a question.

 

The marking scheme of JIPMAT is –

 

  • For each correct answer you will be awarded 4 marks.
  • For each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.

 

The topics asked in different sections are –

 

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension – Reading Comprehension, Antonym, Synonym, Idioms and phrases, Active/Passive voice, Direct/Indirect sentences, Improve the sentence, Cloze test, Fill in the blanks, One word substitution, Error Finding, Para Jumbles, and Wrong spelling identification.

 

Quantitative Aptitude – Number System & simplification, Algebraic Expression & Inequalities, Average, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Time & Work, Pipe and cistern, Time and distance, Boat and stream, Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Probability, Permutation and Combination.

 

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning – Data interpretation, Alphabet and number series, Analogy, Coding – decoding, Clock, Calendar, Direction and distance, Blood relation, Time sequence, number and ranking test, Cube and dice, Problem solving, Data sufficiency, Syllogism, Statement and Arguments, Statement and Assumptions, Statement and Conclusion, Course and action, Cause and Effect, Odd one out, and Venn Diagram.
